The History of Contender Boats

Contender Boats have become a familiar name to South Florida anglers. Beginning 20 years ago in Miami, Contender has become the top name in the world of serious outboard powered offshore fishing machines.

Their reputation has grown far and wide over the years, and they are not only sought after throughout the US, but can be spotted in international fishing hot spots like The Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Mexico, and Costa Rica.

Contender began with the now classic 25' hull design, and added a complete line-up that now ranges from 21 to 36 feet. These boats exhibit the unique pride of using traditional "hands on" boat building, and the most advanced materials and components available to create a product that pleases fishermen everywhere.
