Boat Maintenance

Summer fishing season is around the corner. Let's get your boat and motor up to shape so you can enjoy a trouble free season out on the water. Here are a few tips you should consider doing for your vessel.
  • Charge your batteries to make sure they are up and fully charged before going out on your boat.

  • Remove the propeller to inspect the prop shaft for fishing line. Grease the prop shaft and reinstall the prop.

  • Remove and install a new fuel water separator every 3 months to assure that there is no water or debris getting into the motor's fuel system.

  • Change the lower unit lube, and as you do this inspect old lube for signs of water, which should not be there.

  • Always add some fuel conditioner in the fuel tank.

  • Check your bilge pump in the manual and automatic mode to assure yourself peace of mind when you are out there catching those big fish!
