Verado, the world’s most reliable and sophisticated propulsion system. With a power range from 200 to 300 horsepower, the six cylinder Verado delivers an amazing driving experience, superior reliability, jaw-dropping power and acceleration and the quietest, smoothest ride ever produced by an outboard. With a history of extra performance engines, this supercharged and intercooled design, delivers best-in-class torque and power levels. The inherently balanced in-line-six-cylinder design gives the best in-class running quality. The 24-valve double overhead cam design is maintenance-free for the life of the engine.
Mercury also has the world's first fully integrated propulsion system. From the electro-hydraulic power steering and SmartCraft Digital Throttle & Shift to the next generation of Engine Guardian self-diagnostic tools, Verado boasts previously unheard-of whole boat integration. Instead of conventional mechanical cable, a data cable controls throttle and shift by conveying information for the System Command Module under the dash to a computer in the engine.
Making waves, not noise, each Verado is insulated and has an isolated cowling system, patented muffling chambers in the air-induction system has a specially designed idle-relief exhaust silencer.

There is a full line of Verado engines from 200hp to 300hp and all have been awarded the, three star, ultra low emissions label. The California Air Resources Board ranks them among the cleanest in the world. Combine this with a factory backed three year limited warrantee plus a three year warranty on corrosion and you have one of today's most technologically advanced engines.
